This is a sturdy, honest storage basket in good used condition throughout. The weave is tight and intact on all four sides and the base, with no breaks or holes, and the color is warm and even.
Please note how the lid works, because it is specific to this piece. The lid does not lift on a hinge the way you might expect. A long willow rod runs along the back edge and pins the lid in place. You slide that rod out, and then the lid lifts off completely as a separate piece. It is very likely the basket once had woven loops or ties that let the lid swing open, and those are now missing, so it is being sold exactly as described, with the lid held by the rod and coming off entirely when the rod is removed. Nothing about this affects how well it stores or stacks.
There are a few short broken reed ends at the corners where the weave terminates, visible in the photographs, normal for a woven piece of this age and use. The braided handles at both ends are secure. There are no marks, labels, or maker stamps anywhere on the piece.

Shipping & Returns
All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
Furniture is the exception. Because of size and weight, furniture shipping is quoted separately rather than calculated at checkout. Send a DM on Instagram or email austynmariedesign@gmail.com for a quote, or arrange your own shipping from the warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
