Austyn Marie Design is a curated European and English antique import business based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I personally source fine art, furniture, antiquarian books, silver, and decorative objects from dealers, markets, auction houses, and private collections across England and the Continent.
I have worked with my own freight broker for years. I know how things are packed, how they travel, what they look like when they arrive, and what they will look like in your home twenty years from now.
When I'm walking the stalls at Portobello or a market in the English countryside, I'm not just looking at what something looks like. I'm thinking about what it is, what it tells us about the people who made it, and whether it deserves to be carried forward.
My buyers are not decorators. They are collectors, even when they don't think of themselves that way yet. They are people who have walked into a room full of beautiful, soulless things and felt nothing, and who have walked into a room full of collected, imperfect, meaningful objects and immediately understood something they couldn't quite put into words.
That feeling is what AMD is for. The antique is the artifact of a belief. The belief is what you're actually buying.
