I sourced this three-light bouillotte lamp for its shape, that tall brass stem rising through the shade to a turned finial and ring pull you can actually lift it by. The bouillotte form goes back to French card tables, where a metal shade slid down the center rod as the candles burned. This one is electric, with three lights tucked under faux candles and a domed parchment-style shade that glows warm when lit.
The brass is honest and mellow, with darkening in the recesses that is age and use, not damage. It has not been polished bright, and I would leave it that way. The lamp has been rewired and works.
The shade is a domed parchment-style material and shows its age. There is staining across the outer surface, some marks along the top edge on the inside, and fine crazing to the finish. It reads as warm and used rather than damaged, and it lights beautifully, but if you want a crisp look you may choose to reshade it.
The three faux candle sleeves over the sockets are worn, with splitting and discoloration to the covering. These are simple to replace if you prefer a fresh look.

Shipping & Returns
All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
Furniture is the exception. Because of size and weight, furniture shipping is quoted separately rather than calculated at checkout. Send a DM on Instagram or email austynmariedesign@gmail.com for a quote, or arrange your own shipping from the warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
