A small Victorian gilt brass miniature frame, oval in form with a cast openwork bow crest and concentric reeded surround with berry-and-leaf accents at the quarters. The back retains its original olive green velvet lining and a red diamond retailer's label from a seller in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, giving this little piece a specific English provenance. Sized for a miniature portrait, carte de visite, or small keepsake photograph, it stands on its original brass easel and can also hang.
The frame is in good antique condition with honest age-related wear throughout. The gilt brass front retains its warm tone with light surface wear and minor dulling consistent with age. The cast bow crest and reeded surround are intact with no losses to the castwork. The back shows more significant age wear: the original olive green velvet or felt lining is partially separated and worn, particularly around the edges and at the label area. The red diamond retailer's label from Leamington Spa is present and partially legible, with some surface abrasion obscuring part of the retailer's name. The original brass easel stand is present and functional. There is minor verdigris visible at the back edges of the frame, consistent with age and storage. The frame insert, currently showing a cream fabric placeholder, is present and intact. Overall a sound and displayable example with good period character.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
