10" H x 6" W x 7" D

This silver-plated hot water kettle is part of the Georgian Castle line by International Silver Company, a celebrated American maker known for its refined English revival designs. Model 1406 features a graceful bulbous body, an elegant scrollwork handle, and the classic side tilt knobs that identify it as a traditional spirit kettle. These kettles were originally used for tea service and would have sat on a warming stand with a small burner beneath to keep water heated at the table.

Although the original lid and stand are no longer present, the piece remains visually striking with a sculptural silhouette that blends functional history with decorative charm. The generous handle, sweeping spout, and polished silver plate make it an ideal display piece for a kitchen, butler’s pantry, bar cabinet, or English-inspired interior. It can also serve as a stylish vase or utensil holder that brings a sense of heritage to any space.

International Silver Company produced some of the most iconic silver-plated wares in early twentieth century America, and pieces from the Georgian Castle line are especially admired for their timeless Georgian form. This kettle offers an opportunity to own a classic design with rich tradition and enduring character.

Condition:

The kettle is in fair antique condition and presents beautifully overall. It is missing the original lid and the warming stand that it would have sat on. The interior shows age-related darkening and surface wear typical of antique silver plate. The exterior has minor surface scratches and small spots of wear consistent with age and use. The handles and tilt knobs are secure, and the kettle displays well from all angles.
