15.75" H (with snuffer) x 14.5" W x 14.5" D

This impressive five-arm candelabrum was crafted by the Eureka Silver Company of Taunton, Massachusetts, a boutique American silversmith active only from the 1880s to the early 1910s. Made in true quadruple plate, this was the luxury grade of silver plating at the turn of the century, designed to mirror the richness and weight of solid sterling during formal Victorian and Edwardian dining rituals. The form blends classical English influences with elegant late Victorian curves, featuring a tall urn-shaped center column, five sweeping arms, beaded drip pans and an original flame finial that doubles as a snuffer. Its height and symmetry make it a striking statement on a dining table, console, or styled holiday vignette and its reflective silver surface brings a warm, atmospheric glow to any space. Pieces by Eureka Silver Co. are increasingly collected due to the company’s short production history, and surviving examples of this scale with their finials intact are particularly desirable.

Condition:

This antique candelabrum presents with wear consistent with age and use, typical for late nineteenth century quadruple plate. The silver plating shows areas of persistent patina, light surface scratches and small patches of thinning from decades of polishing. Some of the arms sit slightly off-perfect alignment and several of the beaded drip pans have gentle bends along the rims. These do not affect stability or function and are common in antique multi-arm candelabra. The flame finial remains original and secure and all five candle sockets are intact. The base is sturdy and the piece stands evenly. Overall, it displays beautifully with an authentic antique presence and retains the character expected from a well-loved piece of Victorian to Edwardian American silver.
