Crafted from layered wood, each notched edge was cut and stacked by hand, creating the distinctive textured pattern that defines Tramp Art. The hinged lid opens to reveal a mirror and a padded pincushion top, while four small drawers with brass pulls provide charming storage for jewelry, sewing notions, or keepsakes.
The interior is lined with period-appropriate printed paper, now beautifully aged, showing wear consistent with use over more than a century. The craftsmanship speaks to the ingenuity of folk artisans of the era who transformed simple cigar and fruit crate wood into ornate, architectural forms.
