A dramatic pair of antique brass banded wooden decorative bottles, crafted in the tradition of miniature cooper’s work with vertical hardwood staves and riveted brass straps. The rich, dark wood grain and naturally aged brass patina give these an instant old world bar cart and library styling presence, the kind of objects that look collected over time rather than bought all at once.
Examples like these are often associated with late 19th to early 20th century Continental forms, including French decorative bottle pieces, though these are unbranded. Each bottle is sealed at the top with a cork-like plug and a fitted wooden finial, giving them a finished bottle silhouette and making them best enjoyed today as sculptural decorative objects. Use them as a statement pair on open shelving, a drinks cabinet, or as handsome bookend style accents in a study.

Condition: Antique condition with wear consistent with age and handling, plus later conversion to lamps. Bodies remain sealed bottle forms and do not open. Wood surfaces show scattered scuffs, small nicks, and areas of age checking, including a natural split/check to one turned finial. Brass bands show patina, oxidation, spotting, and light surface scratches. Bases show age related wear and edge rubbing. Converted lamp components show light handling wear. Overall sturdy, highly displayable, and full of authentic antique character.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
