Condition

The bowl is in good antique condition consistent with its age and use as presentation silverplate. The silverplate is intact and bright on the interior and across the decorative applied elements, including the pierced gallery end panels, beaded rim wire, lion's-paw feet, and scroll finials. Wear-through to the base metal is present in localized areas on the exterior body panels where the silver has thinned at the high points of the curved surface, visible as warm copper toning. This is age-appropriate and expected in a piece of this date and material. The cast applied elements show no losses. The engraved inscription and Masonic lodge emblem are crisp and fully legible. The overall structure is sound with no dents, splits, or repairs observed.
