I have not seen evidence of relining, tears, or overpaint, but this is an observation from photographs and not an examination under magnification. Nothing about the surface has been cleaned or restored to my knowledge. The frame shows minor wear to the gilt-painted surface at the corners. The signature at lower right is legible as a script name but I could not resolve the surname with certainty.
