I have polished it, and the surface is bright. There are no dents and no splits, and the stem and foot are solid with no wobble. The plating shows no base metal at the handle edges, rim, or foot. The engraving and the inscription cartouche are clear. There is light scuffing and some darker spotting on the underside of the base, and faint spotting inside the bowl, all consistent with age and use.
