The gilt tooled lines are worn in places. There is a gap at the seam where the leather has lifted and the wood edge shows. The black covering on the underside has scuffs and edge wear. The leather lining inside is worn and scuffed from use. There is no odor and no sign of insect damage. The wear is consistent with age and use, and the box is structurally sound.
